Lake Hefner Park Engagement | Kaitlin & Jordan

They both had their eyes on each other and didn’t know it. For months, they had been wondering about the other, thinking about what it would be like to go on a date. They had gotten to know each other through various church activities and through mutual friends at school, but weren’t quite sure how the other one really felt. Spring Break was fast approaching and Jordan was anxious to ask her out before she graduated. He really thought she could be someone special and wanted to find out if he was right. He mustered up his courage and asked Kaitlin to go on a date with him the week before their Spring Break. And lucky for him, she said yes.

They agreed to dine at The Mule in the Plaza District and then went for ice cream afterwards in Bricktown. They walked and talked and kept on talking all night. It was the perfect date…Or so Jordan thought. Kaitlin, on the other hand, was not too sure if Jordan was that into her after their date. After all, he didn’t even buy her ice cream! But eventually, Jordan explained that he was simply a nervous wreck because she looked so beautiful that night. He couldn’t help but be entranced by her laugh, her smile, her beauty. He had dropped her off at her apartment that night and immediately knew there would be a second date. And to both of their amazement, there were many more after that.

Jordan didn’t actually propose with the ring you see here because it was busy being set. The diamond in the center of her ring belonged to her great aunt, who gave it to her great grandmother, who gave it to her grandmother, who gave it to her! And it’s simply stunning. It was well worth the wait…

Kaitlin and Jordan will be married in December and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for their big day. If it’s anything like this session, we will be in good shape 🙂

They effortlessly make each other laugh…

And they also could effortlessly fall into each other’s loving embrace…

I looooove all the looks that Jordan was giving his fiancé. You can really tell how someone feels about another by the way they look at them…

I remember the day these two went on their first date. I remember Jordan telling me that he had the best time and I remember the look in his eye as he spoke about this girl he was just starting to get to know. I remember Kaitlin’s nerves about Jordan’s possible lack of interest because she told me she was really into him and hoped it would work out. I remember all these little moments. I had no idea that it would be leading to a lifetime of love and commitment for these two…

We ended the evening in the sunshine, soaking in every moment…

I’m so very thankful for these friends of mine and I can’t wait to see how they blossom in this new chapter of their lives. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your story and for trusting me to tell it! Love you both.
